English Art Works is a London-based jeweller and silversmith, established in its present form as a contemporary workshop dedicated to the restoration and preparation of jewellery, silverware, and objects of craftsmanship.
Each piece is selected, examined, and, where appropriate, restored within the workshop before being offered directly to the client.
The focus is on preserving structure, surface, and detail, ensuring that each object remains true to its material and intended function.
The Workshop
The workshop sits at the centre of English Art Works.
It is here that objects are assessed, stabilised, and prepared for continued use. Work is undertaken using established bench practices, with attention given to construction, proportion, and finish.
The intention is continuity of use — maintaining the integrity of each piece while ensuring it remains fit for purpose.
Restoration is carried out with discipline and restraint.
Interventions are minimal and considered. Surfaces may be refined, mechanisms corrected, and structures secured where necessary, but the original form is preserved.
Age is retained where it contributes to character, and addressed only where it affects function or stability.
Selection, restoration, and presentation are treated as a continuous process.
Each object is considered individually, with attention to its material, construction, and condition. There is no standardisation of outcome; the work responds to the object itself.
The result is a body of work shaped by judgement, rather than volume.
